About Kotor

Located along one of Montenegro's most beautiful bays is Kotor, a city of traders and famous sailors, with many stories to tell.
The Old City of Kotor is a well preserved urbanisation typical of the Middle Ages, built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor an UNESCO listed “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site". Through the entire city the buildings are criss-crossed with narrow streets and squares. At one of them there is the Cathedral of Sveti Tripun , a monument of Roman culture and one of the most recognisable symbols of the city. Carnivals and fiestas are organised each year to give additional charm to this most beautiful city of the Montenegrin littoral. You simply can not afford to miss a visit to Kotor.

Water : Fresh water can be taken from water connections on  operational  berths  for 24h.
Electricity : Electricity supply for smaller vessels.
Fuel : Fuel can be taken  from the fuel station depending on the  vessel's size and required quantity.

Accomodation of vessels, passengers and goods

Port has an operational and service  coast 512,60 m long toward the inland aquatorium and 153 m long   toward   Škurda river.  
Kotor has a status of a permanent border crossing  where all customs regulations are carried out  during 24 hours.
Notice of arrival /departure is performed  24 h.

Anchorages

For bigger ships anchorage is located  on the distance of 1 nautical mile NW  from the lighthouse in Sv Stasije,  on depth of cca 30 m,  SW  or  N  off  the  church St. Mathew, on depth of cca 16 m. Smaller ships can anchor W and SW off the port light on the quay, on depths from 14 – 17 m (good holding ground), as well as in front of settlement Prčanj, in  the close vicinity of coast.

Access to the Port by ship boats

is allowed after consultation  with port authorities.

Pilotage

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels exceeding 500 BRT.  Outer pilot station is located on 42°23' N and 18°33,4'E, inner pilot station in bad weather conditions is located on  42° 26,4' N and  18° 32,8'E. Pilot Service can be contacted on VHF Channel 16 , callling »Kotor Pilot« or »Pilots Kotor«.
